my own medicine, in real time

Look, ma, new branding!

My friend Nouran Farrag designed a logo and branding for me and I think you should definitely hire her for your design projects!

I'm not going to apologize for disappearing over the summer because I'm sure it wasn't just me, but this summer has been intense. I know there's no reason for me to include this here, but I just want to show you my logo!

Summer has been intense

At a certain point, I realized that I was trying to do too much all at the same time, my brain fog got worse, my time blindness got out of hand and I decided to step away from tech for work (I say this because I was still chronically online, on instagram, like the good millennial I am)

I travelled with my family (of origin and my kids) for a few days and the offerings I had planned for the summer had all been postponed or cancelled.

And so with that space created, the much needed standstill, I come to you with refreshed energy. That's not to say I'm not tired because I am, but I did get some rest and at least I know what day it is.

I worked on a new thing

I have created a zine on micro-dreaming as part of my piece on acquainting ourselves with collapse - I wrote this as a Post Growth Institute fellow in 2025. And I have since used this practice as part of the Imagination for Liberation workshop, which takes imagination through the spiral of the Work that Reconnects while bringing together the three threads of time as we perceive them: present, past and future.

The very short guide to micro-dreaming -
and no, it has nothing to do with micro-dosing

Between starting to write this and sending it:

My beautiful friend Nameer passed away and I would love if you join me in honoring his life, send him some love, a prayer if you will. His name was Nameer and he had a big, big heart. May you be in light.

I've been working on Facets of Being in the most practical of ways. I've stepped into the Ecoversities Alliance as a more active member last month and those global disparities in power and privilege are active, not just in a theoretical sense where I get to contemplate them, but rather, in this case, they're living dynamics that I get to navigate. There's also a lot of elements of the thawing (of the freeze of capitalism) that I get to navigate and live in this space and it's like getting a taste of my own medicine, to prove it, to know it's real.

Has this summer been revealing something, anything, to you? Please share!

Sending love,

Sara
